About Pastor Max Garza
A longtime Christian leader in the Portland area, Pastor Max Garza currently works with Victory Outreach ministries as a regional pastor and executive director of the Pacific Northwest. For the better part of 25 years, he has overseen all program operations at the church and supervised all staff members, as well as performed regular training in such areas as leadership, communication, and problem solving. Pastor Max Garza also serves as the president of the Victory Outreach Community Service Agency and Victory Staffing Agency.
At the national level, Pastor Max Garza spent two years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Latino Coalition for Christian Community and Faith-Based Initiatives. He also performed considerable outreach work with gang members in Multnomah County, which earned him the Gang Violence Prevention Award in 2005.
The experienced pastor holds certification as a counselor from the American Association of Christian Counselors and as an addiction specialist from the Breining Institute. The holder of an associate degree in religious studies, he is currently working toward a bachelor of theology from Master’s International School of Divinity.
